I'm Aprajita Lal

Welcome to my artistic world! I am Aprajita Lal, a self-taught artist based in New Jersey, United States. Painting, for me, is an ode to nature—an expression of its infinite beauty and diversity. It is my chosen path to create, hold, and share happiness in a tangible form. Through my artwork, I aim to bridge the gap between art and nature, allowing their combined magic to enhance our mental and physical well-being. 

My artistic inclination stems from an early age when my mother, Mrs. Geeta Chaudhary, inspired me to participate in the "All India Camel Color Contest." Winning the first prize at such a tender age was a turning point in my life. This early recognition sparked my interest in art, leading me to explore various subjects and mediums over the years. 

My artistic journey began during the global pandemic when I took a break from my corporate career to paint. With the world shutting down and my family adapting to homeschooling and remote work, I was presented with a unique opportunity. During those 75 days, I dedicated myself to painting, undisturbed by distractions. Determined to make the most of this time, I set a goal to create a specific number of paintings. Remarkably, I not only achieved that target but surpassed it. What started as a 3-month sabbatical turned into a prolific period of creativity, leading me to create a significant number of paintings.
